The girls were born on Friday, November 3. Madison arrived at 7:54 am, Sophia arrived exactly one minute later at 7:55 am. Madison weighed 5 lbs. 2 oz. and was 19 inches tall. Sophia weighed 6 lbs. 1 oz. and was 19.5 inches tall.
These little beauties have definitely been keeping us on our toes. When I found out we were having twins I was completely freaking out about what kind of schedule they’d have, if they’d always want to eat and sleep at the same time or how I’d be able to handle them both crying at the same time — but I must say, being almost six weeks in, it hasn’t been as crazy as I imagined.
So far they’ve been awake or asleep pretty much at the same times and eating in shifts — one will wake up, eat, and then go back to sleep and then within minutes it seems, the other one does the same. Every now and then they tag team me and want to eat at the exact same time – while simultaneously scream crying at the top of their lungs – but for the most part, they treat me pretty well.
The older kids are absolutely in love with their new siblings…especially our three year old. She can’t get enough of holding them, kissing them, helping to change their diapers and feeding them!
We are so overjoyed to have received a double blessing to end the year with a bang!
